Bak Sang-gi is an expert in international negotiation consulting in Korea. His clients include Samsung Electronics, Hyundai-Kia Motors, POSCO. SK Telecom, Korea Telecom, Toshiba, Korea First Bank, Korea Development Bank, Federation of Korean Industries, Astrazeneca, Samsung Engineering, Bayer, CJ Entertainment, and Seoul National University.
He graduated from Pusan University of Foreign Studies with a major in English Literature and Linguistics. After college graduation, in 1990, he joined Hyundai MOBIS, a leading automotive parts manufacturing company of the Hyundai Motor Group, working for international trade, marketing, investment and secretary to CEO.
After 9 years of international business experience at Hyundai, he got his MBA at the Graduate School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Madison. He took the “Negotiation, Dispute and Conflict Settlement Program” which made his destiny as professional negotiation expert. After completing his MBA in 2001, he joined Samsung SDI, a leading digital display and advanced battery manufacturer of Samsung Electronics Group, working as manager of global research, marketing and strategy development.
Since the establishment of BNE Consulting Co. in 2002, a leading professional internal business communication and negotiation consulting firm, he has been actively working for leading Korean and foreign companies in negotiation consulting and training. He is also acclaimed as one of the most popular columnists writing about international negotiation, especially in cross-cultural business negotiation and communication. His more than 100 hundred articles and columns have been published in many distinguished journals and media such as Hankuk Kyungje, Chosun, Chungang, Pressian, Edaily, TvN, KBS Radio, and more.
